Hello, I am Felix Enyinnaya. In my world, design is the intersection of problem-solving, aesthetics, and an understanding of human behaviour, all aimed at creating meaningful impact.
My Why
As a kid, I was drawn to disassembling broken appliances, trying to fix them before they met their final end. My interest in design and the arts started early, too. My notebooks were filled with sketches of cars and comic characters. Having access to a desktop computer fueled my interest in software. While coding wasn't my calling (believe me, I tried), design emerged as the perfect blend of my interests in art, software, and problem-solving, along with a curiosity about human behavior. For me, being a product designer isn't just about shaping how a product looks and functions; it also extends to influencing how the entire business operates. In the words of Steve Jobs, "You can only connect the dots looking backwards".
The journey so far
Over the past four years, I've collaborated with a variety of startups—from B2B and B2C SaaS to fintech and Web 3 startups. My expertise spans UX audits, design systems, and strategic product thinking. Most recently, I oversaw the design of Mithril at Commsor, an analytics tool that over 250 communities use, including big names like Polygon, Mirror, ENS, Celo, Gitcoin, and more. It's been a whirlwind journey filled with continual learning and growth.
My Values and approach
I'm a stickler for details. I'm that guy who'll spot if a pixel is out of place—not a perfectionist, just detail-oriented. I value high-quality work, timely delivery, strong work ethics, and teamwork. I'm not afraid to ask questions, even the seemingly mundane ones, to ensure I fully understand the context and the problems at hand. Because understanding is the cornerstone of excellent design. I'm drawn to roles that offer challenges and room for growth, respect work-life balance, and, let's be honest, pay well.
Community
As part of my drive to do more and be more. I serve as a design contributor and mentor at Designers Dao, a community focused on Web 3 design. Additionally, I'm a core member of Friends of Figma in Enugu, where I help organize design-centric meetups and events.
Outside of work
I'm a big fan of live concerts, quality music, and delicious food. I can easily get lost in random YouTube videos. Recently, I've taken up photography as a hobby, capturing moments at church and snapping shots of friends with my trusty little Sony ZVE10.
